* release VA itself (uvm_channel_tracking_semaphore_get_gpu_va() =
* pool-page GPU VA + semaphore->index * 4; gsp_sema_service.c pool-wr lines

* used when the operator explicitly asked for it via gsp_sema_fake_rel /
* gsp_sema_rel_recover. The automatic recovery path (no module parameter)
* requires the decoded VA and never writes into an unproven slot.
*
* Returns false only when there is no exact slot to fall back on at all
* (no decoded release VA and no operator-selected rank guess). A known
* slot is always acknowledged: when its page is not translatable the
* expected write is queued for the pending-release retry pass, the
* expectation still advances and the caller consumes the GPFIFO entry.
